Embedded Software Engineer (m/w/d)

Job Description

We are looking for a professional and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team! As an Embedded Software Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software of medical devices, including automated and manual external defibrillators.

Duties and responsibilities

• Design and implementation of C/C++ Software on embedded systems like ARM Cortex-A7/M3/M4
• Participation in drafting specifications based on EN62304
• Review of source code and documentation
• Execution of software tests on different test levels depending on the risk class (unit, integration, system tests), especially regression tests for software changes.

Requirements and qualifications

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields
• Solid programming experience using C, C++, assembly or similar
• 3 years of experience in embedded software engineering or similar role
• 1 years of experience with development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Experience in design of embedded systems with real-time operating systems
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
• Good knowledge in source control tools like Subversion and Git
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Proficiency in English and German is essential

Bonus skills

• Familiar with medical device regulations or similar standards
• Experience with Mentor Graphics Nucleus in safety-relevant applications
